About Chelum
Chelum, also known as Arba'een, is a solemn religious observance for Muslims, particularly Shia communities, marking the end of the forty-day mourning period after the Day of Ashura. It commemorates the martyrdom of Imam Hussain, the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad, at the Battle of Karbala. Observances include processions, religious gatherings, and acts of charity.
