About Boxing Day
Boxing Day is a public holiday observed on the day following Christmas in Guyana. Historically rooted in the custom of giving gifts to the poor or service workers, it is now primarily a day for relaxation and spending time with family and friends. Many citizens use the day to continue holiday festivities, participate in sporting events, or enjoy outdoor activities.
