About Boxing Day
Boxing Day is observed in Uganda as a public holiday on the day after Christmas. Historically rooted in traditions of giving gifts to the underprivileged, it is now primarily a day for relaxation and social gatherings. Many Ugandans use this time to visit friends and family following the festivities of Christmas.
