Taiwan's Retrocession Day in Taiwan

About Taiwan's Retrocession Day

Taiwan's Retrocession Day commemorates the end of Japanese rule over Taiwan in 1945 and its restoration to the Republic of China. While it was formerly a major public holiday, its observance has become more low-key in contemporary times. It remains a historically significant date that marks a major transition in the island's modern political history.
