Maha Ashtami in India

About Maha Ashtami

Maha Ashtami is the eighth day of the vibrant Durga Puja festival in India, honoring the victory of Goddess Durga over the demon Mahishasura. It is considered one of the most significant days of the festival, featuring elaborate morning prayers known as Sandhi Puja and community-wide festivities. Devotees gather in decorated pandals to offer flowers and partake in traditional rituals to seek divine blessings.
