About Boxing Day
Boxing Day is a public holiday in the Faroe Islands observed the day after Christmas. Historically rooted in the tradition of giving gifts to the less fortunate, it is now primarily a day for resting and spending time with family. Many residents use this time to enjoy leftovers or visit friends and extended relatives.
